How to Get Glowing Skin After a Night Out

How to Get Glowing Skin After a Night Out

On a scale of 1 to Lindsay Lohan, how hungover are your right now? Same. Here are a few tips on how to fool your skin into thinking that it got 10 hours of sleep last night.

1. Drink Water

We all know that keeping hydrated will help reduce the effects of a hangover but who has time for a glass of water between every drink? Well, here is the good news. If you forget to hydrate while out, drink a glass of water before bed and add Advil to the mix. Try and avoid painkillers containing acetaminophen- they can cause damage to your liver and kidneys when taken with booze. The Advil can help reduce inflammation under the eyes, preventing tired looking skin the next morning.

2. Wear a Sleep Mask

Alcohol has been proven to disrupt your sleep. Especially the most important part of the REM sleep cycle which happens in the wee hours of the morning. If you stumbled in while the sun was rising,  wearing a sleep mask can help block out the morning light, helping you get the rest you need. Add a heavy face cream to moisturize your skin while you sleep. I love CeraVe Eczema Soothing Creamy Oil .

3. Plump Up Those Lips in 2 Steps

When you drink, your lips loose their natural plump. Drinking alcohol dehydrates your lips by reducing the amount of moisture in your body. This can lead to a dry, chapped deflated looking pout. Let's fix that:

Step 1. Use a super hydrating lip balm. My fav is Burt's Bees Wild for Bees Beeswax Lip Balm

Step 2. Fake the plump with lipstick and lip liner. My absolute favorite lipstick and lip liner combo is

NYX Butter Lipstick in Boardwalk  & Sephora lipliner in The Nudest
